Terra Dotta University 2013
Although Terra Dotta has always offered customers the hosting option, initially we had relatively few institutions interested in housing their data on external hosting systems. For many it was a question of policy. Then, about 5 years ago, a major shift took place, and more and more administrators began to recognize the significant benefits of software "in the cloud." Not only has the proportion of clients opting for Terra Dotta hosting taken a dramatic upturn, but many campus-installed clients are deciding to make the move to Terra Dotta hosting as well. In this session we will talk about the factors to consider in deciding whether to host on campus or with Terra Dotta. Even if you've made the decision or are already installed on campus, you should consider attending this session. (Note that Terra Dotta Hosting should not to be confused with our Software-as-a-Service option. SaaS is also another TD hosting option, where the software is leased and billed based on use. SaaS is primarily for smaller operations, since there is a per-application fee.)
